and what a journey it was!
when i left my house, mother nature was not on my side. it was rainning hard, thundering and lightening! yikes!
i get to the airport and everything's dark. power was out at the pearson airport. great. i thought. at this point i wasn't sure if i was even going to leave that night. 30 mins later finally power comes back. apparently the power's been out for 1.5hours.D-E-L-A-Y
once everything started working, the check in line went by very quickly. i recieve my boarding pass and the counter person said that there'll be a delay so i should listen to the announcement carefully.
11pm... i got through the security and found my gate. 11.20pm original boarding, 11.50pm original departure.
11.10pm announcement saying that the flight will board at 2.30am. great. i thought. i hate delays. luckily they were giving out $15 meal tickets to be used at the cafe right across from the gate. i get my meal ticket and rushed to see what they've got. i saw nothing.(well sorta) bagels, salads, yogurt and some old lasagna that looks like its been sitting there for 10 hours. i was hungry at this point so i grabbed the lasagna that i saw. despite the food looking old & stale, it was pretty good. or maybe that was my hunger thinking.
so guess what time we ended up boarding at? 3am. we departed pearson at 3.40am.
14 hour flight is not fun. luckily this plane was equipped with monitors with lots of movies and games. i watched the soloist. FINALLY! a movie ive been waiting to see for ages but never gotten around. and then he's just not that into you. let me tell you, don't watch either. i didn't think they were good.
it is 7.27am on august 11th in seoul korea. i'm going to watch some tv in hopes i don't fall asleep.
its also really humid here! im having hard time breathing yuk!
